 Administrative Centre - Kyivska oblast
On February 18th, 2002; Ukraine issued the first stamp from its Regional and Administrative Centres of Ukraine series for the year 2002.
On the right-hand side of the stamp we see wheat fields. On the left-side we see a statue in Pereyiaslav-Khmelnytskomu in honour of the first historical mention about Ukraine. In the middle, we see the coat-of-arms and the location on the map of Ukraine where the area is located.
A pictorial cancellation was used for the First Day of Issue cover. Cancellation was done in Kyiv.
