 Kyiv - Through the eyes of the artist
On November 11th, 2002; Ukraine issued a set of three (3) stamps showing various locations in the capital city Kyiv during the mid-1840s. This work of art was done by Ukraine's famous poet and artist - Taras Shevchenko.
| The first stamp shows the painting of Askold's Tomb, 1845. This is the location where Kyiv's early founder - Askold, is buried. |

The second stamp shows a painting entitled Kyiv, 1844. It shows a scene by the shore of the river Dnipro. |
| The third stamp shows a painting of St. Alexandr Church in Kyiv, 1846. |

A pictorial cancellation was used for the First Day of Issue cover. Cancellation was done in Kyiv.
