Life and Work of Taras Shevchenko - 2008 Series

Feb 2008; Ukraine issued a 3 new definitive stamps based on
the upcomming 200 year Anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko
(1811 - 1861).

stamp shows the painting "Gypsy Fortune-teller, 1842"

middle stamp shows the painting "Kateryna, 1841"

The third
stamp shows the painting "Self-Portrait, 1840"
A pictorial
cancellation was used for the First Day of Issue cover. Cancellation
was done in Kyiv.
