Mar 2008; Ukraine issued a 2 new definitive stamps based on the series about the author Mykola Hohol.

stamp shows the portrait of Hohol with his writing materials and
pistols

second stamp shows some scenes from the novel "Taras Bulba"
A pictorial
cancellation was used for the First Day of Issue cover. Cancellation
was done in Kyiv.
